Polvese Island
L 'Polvese Island, owned by the Province of Perugia is currently used to park within the field of Scientific Park of Lake Trasimeno and as such dedicated to the development of research, experimentation, education and environmental education.
The educational activities include the study of territory in terms of historical and anthropological nature and technology applied to mitigate the impact of human activities in different historical periods.
The island now offers an example of environmental management according to sustainability criterial.
